Hello and welcome to this week’s edition of The Bell!

Now that it’s September and fall collections are popping up left right and center, I thought I’d put together a wishlist for everyone’s favorite season to get dressed.

Many of these pieces are pretty aspirational for me. That’s why, for this list, I curated items where I genuinely feel that if I buy one item—and only one—for the season, that single piece has the power to breathe fresh air into my entire closet. Since we have similar taste, I hope you feel the same!

You also may or may not know that this newsletter’s tagline is “the pursuits that make life special.” So that was the assignment: find a handful of clothes and accessories that are wearable, versatile, and enough on their own to make a fall wardrobe a lot more special. I was discerning. I was patient. I opened a lot of tabs and crashed my internet browser before narrowing down to this list.
